Yup, its a big fish

t1kerman, thats a big one, but far from full grown. thats only like 5 years old or something. far from full grown. "record to date" still doesn't mean much. fish grow jus like humans, somewhere along the line, there could be a bigger one out there. u never know

As wide as the fish and three times as long, so going by 50", 150"x50" or 16.5'x4' would be ideal, most people wouldn't have their aros in tanks much larger then 8x3/10x3 and they grow fine. Do some research, you'll find more anwsers

with all those questions, i doubt you'll own a full grown aro. it takes dedication to take an aro to its potential. i've seen 3ft aro's all over the place. mega tanks can bring them to 4ft or so. they can live anywhere between 20-40 years n maybe longer. i've never seen one 20 years old tho, to many weird things happen with fish keeping so they usually die b4 they hit 8yrs old.

why is this? so many starnge things happen to captive fish that cuts there lives short. you can take every precaution and still lose them to some freak occurance.

is that ur fish? cuz if i remember correctly, the guy who owns it posted saying it grew that big in a 125, and when the original poster posted it, he said it was still in the 125...

whats the (confirmed) largest silver aro that is owned by an mfk member. ive seen pics of many that are around 20-24 inches.
