Tell me this is possible.

You have any pics?

This from when I built it. I cemented it together with Weld-On 4. The tape is holding it together while the dries.

This is it after I painted it and put in the tank.

Here's a smaller one that's not painted. I don't use this one anymore though.

I tried that 1st, and had several problems. The fish hate those clear pipes, unless it's dark. The fish look all distorted in the clear pipe also. If you get the regular white PVC elbows for the clear PVC, the fish will stay hidden in the elbows. Dead or sick fish may go unnoticed in the elbows, which is the deal breaker. Once had an ich break go unnoticed until it was too late because the infected fish hid in those elbows because they liked the extra water flow and darkness.

I'm planning on building a fish tank trough system

The idea of the troughs is that they would be made of acrylic and be anywhere from six to eight inches deep and six to eight inches wide and be as long as four to eight feet between fish tanks. They would link up to the fish tank by way of a PVC pipe fitting drilled into the giant fish tanks ether a cement fish tank or a giant fiberglass fish tank with a custom fitting put into the tank. Or I could possibly use several large acrylic tanks for this project. The cool apart about this system is that it can be taken down and moved when you have to move the house to house. It also safer then using clear PVC pipes in that you if air gets into the system it could wreak the Clear PVC pipe tunnels. But with this system the tanks would be based off of a eight to ten inch deep tank level that once the water in one or all of the tanks reaches would fill up the tanks. And if you only need to use one tank or need to take the tube down for repairs or cleaning you can drop the water the ten inches in the tanks or seal off one of the tanks from the system by closing gates which would make it safer then a pipe system and cheaper. Another aspect that this trough idea has going for it is cleaning in that you can clean the clear trough while the whole system is running vs having to shut down the hole system and drain it to clean it.
