Tell Me Why Not

Interesting about the sand. I haven't opened the bags yet, so I can trade them for sand. My reason for going with the pooka shells is because I've had sand before and after time, they collect methane pockets. I also want the shells to help with the pH. This may sound a little weird, but maybe I can create a little sand area separated by smaller rocks. Hmm--this could be fun. :-)

Yes, I bought from Dave's before. He's a great guy and will work with you if you need your fish to arrive on a certain day. He was also who I called to get advice for transporting all my Malawi's. Unfortunately, he said he really doesn't carry cyps because they don't ship well. He does have those neon paracyps.

Some people like the Paracyps better than Cyps but I've never kept them. I've read that they like 'ledges' and a vertical wall to breed on.

Yeah, I'm going to take it kind of slow this time. When I first started getting into Malawi's, I bought a bunch of fish that I ended up realizing I didn't like for one reason or another. I'm still learning about Tany's and what I can and can't get in Orange County, CA. If I don't have to have them shipped, I'm much more interested in that. Unfortunately, we don't have access to a lot/or hardly any dealers out here that have what I really want. :( but I haven't given up looking yet.
