Would you like a fish this size in your 125 with 2 oscars who're at 12-13"?

This butti was 15" and was brought back by multiple people who thought they could handle it.

i had a butti in my oscar tank. it was about an inch or 2 and was biting the fins of my oscar. had to return him quick. to me, highly aggressive at any age.

I have one again, one of my fav fish. He is in my 265 with 4 pbass, 2 pikes and 2 dats. He doesnt really bother them, here and there he chases others which is normal but other than that, he really isnt a bother. He is around 13-14". I did had to take out the Argentia because the Argent wasnt having it and with the size of the mouth on a butter, I didnt want to have a dead Argent when I woke up. The argents mouth and face was basically inside the butters mouth and the butter is about an inch bigger or so.

That is a badass looking fish. If I had the space I would grow one out.

thats probably a pretty old fish. Mine was 2 years old or older and only around 12". It also looks like this big guy mightve or still has Hole in head

He wasn't in the best of conditions at the store lets put it that way.... Someone brought him home and cleared out their 90g for him. Apparently he's much healthier and happier (angrier haha) in his new home.

Mine seemed to be ok with anything that was significantly smaller. When he was small he would kick the crap out of anything so I had to put him in his own tank. As he got bigger I put him in a 150 with some mbunas and a couple of smaller JDs. He killed off the JDs eventually (I guess because they were the biggest other fish in the tank) but they lasted a year or two. After that he never messed with any other fish in the tank too much. The last couple years he was 10-12" and never touched the 4" clown loaches I had in there with him. It seems the older he got, the more docile he was.

But he was the coolest fish I've ever had, tons of personality, fun to watch him attack my mag-float and python.
