my tem died yesterday and i have no clue why he died. the night before yesterday i fed him krill which wasnt completely thawed out and i think he died cause of that maybe. ive had him for a 2 months. there is a jaguar cichlid and a tsn with him. ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 5 pH 6-6.5. any idea on how it made have died

lol..... it had nothing to do with being frozen... nor it being krill..... sorry for your loss, but i do believe you need to recheck parameters... and all needs for cichla are essential for/to keeping them!!

i checked it yesterday and i brought a sample to my lfs. then i checked it again today. all my other fish are fine. i fed him like at 2pm and the next morning he was dead and he still had a full stomach still. it doesnt usually take 20 hours for him to digest his food. his death was so unexpected when i fed him he attacked the krill at the surface b4 it thawed and he usually never does this. he was perfectly healthy

I doubt the krill was the problem! I never thaw it out all the way and I feed it to my 3 and 4 inch pbass
probably but it was like frozen frozen i just broke a piece off and dropped it in and he ate it. i do agree with u but what else could have happened he had no disease or anything. if this helps at all my uncle was taking out the popcorn ceiling in my house the last day i saw him alive. im now looking for a replacement. does anybody know a lfs in torrance that carries tems often like 5 inches. mine in pedro only sells small ones
