yea just put my tank in the garage and its gettin hot. my tank went from 85 to 89 the piranhas stayed at the bottom would this b bad for them

high temperature will stress the fish and there will be less dissolved oxygen in the water, see if you can have a way to cool the water or at least add some air stones in the tank to help oxygenate the water.

Good oxygen exchange is key with higher temps. Also keep in mind the their metabolism will be sped up with a higher temp. Feeding more not only helps with the increased metabolism but also with the increased aggression usually. Just be sure your filtration can handle the additional load.

blow a fan over the top but make sure it doesnt go much higher and if they continue on the bottom they just arent feeling right

blowing a fan will only help if air temperature is lower than water temperature. if the temperature has reached an equilibrium then it won't help.

yea its gettin in the 100s here and the tank gets to 90deg i was thinkin of puttin a couple ice cubes in the sump but dont think it will help so im jst gunna add another air stone

cooler water changes will help for a quick fix but won't to do you much good in the long run, same as the ice cubes would be a quick fix.
