Hey Guys,
So I'm a recent college graduate, and I previously thought I would be moving a ton for my future job and re-homed my axolotls. However, the job fell through, and it looks like I may be taking a local part time job until I can find a full time position worth moving for. I would love to get a fish, but am not moving anything larger than a ten gallon tank, because I have had it with hauling large fish tanks around. I've previously kept dwarf puffers and betta fish in a ten gallon, and while they are awesome fish, I would like something new. I'm also not a fan of schooling fish, and would prefer a single fish in a ten gallon tank.
Anyone want to help me brainstorm on types of fish I could comfortably keep in a ten gallon tank? I would love some ideas, I'm sure there is something out there that can fit in a ten gallon that would be interesting to keep.
I've considered a dwarf gourami, but I've never kept one, so I'm not sure how personable they are. Anyone have some good ideas?

that bumble bee catfish looks interesting, but according to the web it gets about 6" or so, which might be a bit too big for a ten gallon

if you like cats, get a spatula barbel catfish. its everything predatory in a 3.5" catfish. its got a great big mouth for inhaling fish and crustaceans, its has long barbels, it has a light tan top side and a cream white belly. one of my favorite mini predators. they prefer mostly rock work and are from africa
