About to order a 360g 96X36X24 both places have the same price and I know tenecor has a great reputation but aquariums for you ( www.aquariumsforyou.com" is local to me and will match pricing. Should I stick with tenecor?

If one is local, and provides a warranty and price match, I'd go with them.

Isn't Tenecor "Baller" pricing? (Always thought their tanks were way pricey) Did you check Not Just Fish.. Might want to just to see before you commit.

I just bought the same size Tenecor tank with overflow boxes from fishtanksdirect.com. I got mine for $2,400 delivered to my door (they had free shipping). The guy who handles large tank sales there is named Tom and is a hell of a nice guy. The tank will be shipped directly from the Tenecor factory in Vegas to my house once it's built. I should have it in 3 weeks or so.

I don't know if this price is in line with what you were quoted, but I'm curious what you're going to pay. If you don't mind telling that is. Whatever you do, make a move quickly. The price of tanks is going up almost monthly due to acrylic being a petroleum product.

To cichlaguapote and K626, Tenecor has a factory lifetime warranty against breakage. Baller status or not, a lifetime warranty is a lot of peace of mind. That's why I bought the Tenecor instead of glasscages' 300g glass. The glasscages 300g was going to end up being $1,800 with overflows and lids and shipping to a town near me. And it only has a 90 day warranty. And I would have to rent a truck or trailer and get at least four guys to get it home.

A Tenecor 300g, for direct comparison, from fishtanksdirect.com was going to be $2,200 with overflows and lids delivered directly to my house with a lifetime warranty.

For only $400 more, I'd go with the lifetime warranty every time.

Your price wasn't bad. Prices I've seen on tenecor were alot more pricey for some reason but I was looking 96x48 and above which starts going up in price. And to be honest 300g glass cages vs. your tenecor is no comparsion on quality or what you get for your money. You did good. Just throwing out another tank manufactuer/forum vendor to check on. Plus that vendor gives prices including shipping. :)

A lifetime warranty is a good thing no doubt. But it's a trust agreement. If 400g's bursts in your house your in more trouble than tank trouble. I go more with trust in the actual builder if it can be gauged. It is nice to have a warranty though.

I bought the tenecor... I got a 360g 8'X3'X2' with dual overflows with 1.5" drain and 1" return acrylic tops and all plumbing and silencers for $2k delivered to my door. Ships 6/2/08

I say always support your local guy...

You did great. You make me wish I'd waited a week to get mine, lol.:D I got the plumbing and bulkheads with mine as well. Maybe fishtanksdirect will match that price (I can only hope).:)
