They had 3 peacock bass with like 50 piranha. Would anyone on here do that? Sounds like a accident waiting to happen....
do u mind me asking, in the 10th picture, was that tank freshwater too? I never thought there are freshwater permit/pompano if thats fw!! and in that case, i will have another fish added to my wish list : ) .... cuz i've seen plenty saltwater ones, and i do wonder if they do venture into estuaries or even got lost into freshwater like some fish has done before
This is one of my favorite aquariums if not the best IMO & I have been to many including 3 in Australia. The area is nice to take a family trip for a weekend also. The displays are done nicely. Many aquariums become redundant with the same old same old stock look etc.. Shedd Aquarium is also great. GA is big & Behind the scenes is great.
Your ? about P bass in with the Piranha is normal in the wild. Yes it can be risky but the Piranha maybe also worried about the bass eating them? Shedd has mixed Piranha with other SA fishes which was the first exhibit I have seen do it.
