Tentacles growing on my wood

My guess would be some kind of parasitic larvae that grew on the wood. When did you get the wood? My suggestion would be to dip it in vinegar. But what the hell do I know ?

Have you tried removing one of the tentacles and placing it in a separate container of tank water to see if it still moves around?
