Thanks for all the info, guys. I ended up finding an unopened toothbrush under the bathroom sink and used it to scrub off the glue after dipping the pot in boiling water. Worked great and the wife's guppies love their new cave!

Oh, good. Guppies. Just be careful not to use these with doradids. The terra cotta can grind down their spines and lead to sores.
