Really liking the blue on the female :)
very nice pair, hope to see some HD pics soon!

Thanks, I can't wait to get some better pictures of them like this. Darn shoulder!

Are there any fish in with the pair?

As of 4 days ago no. I just moved the other fish out as they were starting to pick on them. The female's tube comes out a little more each day. It will be soon. Or at least it better be!!!! Haha.

Beautiful pair! Most people say that female fastae are more beautiful than male because of the intense red. But I think the male is different and just as beautiful. The male has the subtle red but a lot of sparklings and a majestic hump that the female is lacking.

Ok, I would have thought the dithers would have helped her get going and lay eggs. And it sounded like it was working if they started to pick on them. I would have left the dithers in until they spawned. Or maybe get some other dithers that your not attached to that can stay in longer... But hopefully they will soon:)

The male is definitely my favorite. The female is awesome though.

I didn't want any them getting killed. I'm trying to figure out what to use for dithers. Wish I had kept those SDs!

SD's work good too but I am just as successful if not more using Midas growouts:) they're cheap and can take abuse

Wow they must be absolutely stunning in person! Someday I will own a pair of these. What size tank for a pair long term?

I don't have access to any bigger ones unfortunately. Hopefully I can find something!

I think a 125-150 is minimum. I personally wouldn't put a large pair in anything less than that. You need to watch aggression carefully.
