You never replied to this question, so I'll post my Frankenstein rig for access to cold and hot water for temp control....just an idea for anyone reading this who can apply this to their own set-up.

Frankenstein sounds about right lol. I actually figured out that I can unscrew the head of the kitchen faucet and attach a python. I previously thought that I could not because it's one of the newer faucets that you can pull out and spray..... it's about 30 ft away but the python 50 footer should do the trick.

Spent a weekend trying to get the right fitting for my European made faucets, but nothing worked. So, I had to improvised and that's what I came up with. Looks ugly, but works great! Beats hauling buckets any day

We did all our faucets a couple years back and its been a pain in the ass to do water changes in the winter. I have a setup with the garden hose but now the basement bathroom shower I take out the shower head and rigged my own contraption lol Wife doesn't mind no one uses that but me anyways to do all my fish stuff. I stuff my buckets in there.

I was going to get this but only thing that wouldn't work with my faucet its too curved. lol

Hey everyone. I'm wanting to know what you guys are doing when changing large volumes of water when the water from the tap is very bad like it is in Phoenix.

What I've been doing is filling a 55 gallon plastic trash can, treating the water and then transferring the water to the tank after that...... My problem is 55 gallons isn't enough for my 240g tank.

So.... how do you change your water on large tanks?
I am in Phoenix and have no issues with the water. I have south american, african, central.. all in my tank. Though I have my 440gallon on a drip for constant water change. but when I do my larger changes I just treat for chlorine

Good to know! Yeah I've always just been cautious with the water here. I'm a native so I've just grown up knowing it tastes and smells nasty lol. But now that I've discovered the Python and that the chemical reactions are instant. I'm a happy camper.
