Just pulled my Rhaph out of the pond. Can't even trace back when I got him. Pretty sure it would have been Jan 05. Lil shy of 14 inches. I knew his time was up when he let me pet him last night.

Feel friggin sick. :irked:

Too many loses going on.

What was Rhaph???

dude that sucks. I lost my Rhaph to my Tat a couple of months ago which sucked so i can only imagine how bad it is to loose a much larger, more established fish.

The video of your fella doing the feeding flips is what tempted me to get mine.
:(

dang this stinks!

my bass is gonna die also :irked:

payara are great fish but can be very fragile if something goes wrong.

RIP

wow, i am really sorry to here about the loss al. that fish was the bomb

This fish was with me longer than any fish I've ever owned. I had him before I even knew there was such a thing as freshwater rays. Don't even know why he passed. Coulda been his last brush with the egg grate, maybe close to 5 years in poor water, don't really know. All I know is the purchase of this fish was half the reason I even found predatory fish websites like this. Persuing care info landed me here.
