I'm not really into african cichlids, but this makes me wanna start my own african tank.
What kind of african cichlid is it?

I bought some a while back at a local Leslie's pool store. Went to a different Leslie's store a few years later and all they had was the ugly gray silica stuff. Not sure how it works, but luckily I know found a local landscape place that has all grades of sand, #3, up to 60#, and dirt cheap too

At the place I got mines from they carry two colors, these and all white. So before purchasing I usually ask to go to the back to see which ones they have

Think reason not alot of people keep these is they're alittle on the aggressive side for community type setup.

They are absolutely beautiful. I've never owned a Tanganyikan, but the first tank I get would rule if it housed a group of these.
