Long story short, i have always wanted a tesselata.

I have read up quite a bit on keeping them. I see minimum tank sizes in some places 150 gallons, other places 300 gallons. Im aware they are a demanding species to keep and care for, but id love the chance.

Another long story short, ive just acquired a 220 72"lx24"wx30"h tank and im gonna be preparing it for fish at least a few weeks. The urge is strong with me to go low-tech fowlr and set it up for the purpose of keeping a tessy. Single species, no tankmates. But only if the tank will be adequate to keep the fish in for the duration of its life.

So basically: yay or nay for a tessy in a 220?

Flint town!
Id also leave it to you ultimately....but they dont do a lot of free swimming. And given good water quality adaquate flow and food and a rock structure to support its needs a 220 should be good. Id also get a top that wont be comming off easily.
