Yes misjudging moray size. Thinking one was impossible for other one to eat. Worst part is seeing the victim fighting to end.

How do the morays not get all cut up thrashing around in such tight quarters in the coral? Their skin must be super tough. The victim was biting the other one ib yhe face and neck with no ill effects either! I wouldnt wanna be near that guy when he is hungry.... might try and eat my arm or leg.

Disgusting to think that we pay countless dollars for fish like this and in the wild they are eaten probably daily

Ive eaten dovii and jag. I didnt know i would be in love with these creatures just a few years later. Now i paid $$$$ for a 1" fry lol

Seen a similar thing happen in my tank due to misjudging the size difference of a Gymnothorax tile that was given to us for free. The G. moringa on my avatar and a G. saxicola (blackedge moray) did the Lady and the Tramp spaghetti move with it, but the tile went down fighting and biting. I was very upset as it was my error, but I learned my lesson indeed. It happened so quick, not much.i could do. even when preyed upon these things put up a good fight...the one in the video was latched on real good until the very end.
