Hey all, i just tested my water, and here are my readouts. I have a 20 gal with 2 angels, 3 black sail tetras, 4 albino pristella tetras and 3 black phantoms

heres the readings

PH 7.5
alkalinity 130
hardness ppm 120
nitrite ppm .5
motrate ppm 20
ammonia 2.0

I was wondering if these levels were safe or not

I suggest you upgrade your tank to minimum of 30 gallons for that Angel pair, I believe your Angels will end up killing off your Tetras as they get older.

i have a 55 gallon on its way for when they get a lil bigger, the tetras in the tank, besides the albino pristellas are all bigger than the angels. I just wanted to make sure my ammonia / nitrate levels are safe.

Idealy you want Ammonia & nitrite at O PPM.

How long has this aquarium been up and running?

What type of filtration system are you running?

I think I remember that it is a new tank right? do you have any friends who have completely cycled tanks? If so ask them if they will let you borrow a porous rock from one of their tanks. I do this for my friends all the time cuts down on the New Tank Syndrome...
