Testing out cheap black sand!

Nice thread...gonna have to check this out. I have used the white but black looks so much more natural depending on the decor and fish.

This is why I want black sand! It makes the colors pop out so much more!

Well for people in town on water meters!:/ I find the bucket method uses alot of water. I use my fine and course mesh fish nets and just rinse that. I used this for all purpose sand from home depot that was extremely dirty and took half if not less the water and when I added it to my Tank clear as can be.

I use the black diamond in 2 of my tanks, the coarse is better then the fine imo. When the fine settles it looks more brown then black.

I have the coarse in a couple of my tanks and i love it. You can move it around and it does not get the water cloudy at all. Just rinse it really good when you buy it it has some type of oil residue
