First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I am new to the hobby and new to the forum, so hello to all!

I am currently running a Juwel Rio 125 with the internal filter. I purchased the higher output pump rated at 1000 l/h.
After having discovered Pondguru, I decided to switch around with the media, because it made sense and it seems to be working just fine. However, recently I am noticing that I have a lot of debris floating around in the tank, so I do not think the Eccoflow 1000 is cutting it.

It is on its way to becoming heavily planted, halfway through the planting process as I am experimenting with various plants and deciding what I like most.
It is about 3 months old and is currently stocking: 6 Amano Shrimp, 3 Nerite snails, 5 Corydoras Napoensis, 9 Dwarf Neon Rainbows (Praecox), 8 Melanotaenia Parva (I dont think they have a common name), and in abouth 2-3 weeks time, there will be a Spotted Congo Puffer (Tetraodon Schoutedeni).

So, due to the debris floating around, algae getting stuck between the glass and the internal filter, I have decided to get rid of it and replace it with an external canister filter. I am looking at different solutions, and would like some help from the pro's and whoever else has any experience and can guide me.

I am looking at several different options.
Tetra EX 1200 Plus
Eheim 4+ 350
JBL e1502
Hydor Professional 350 - 600?

The filters will be filled with part Eheim Substrat Pro and Part Biohome Ultimate for biological filtration.

The primary requirements are that it should be as silent as possible, have a decent turnover to keep up with the puffer and the plants and not require me to maintain and clean it once a week, as that is the case with the Juwel internal filter right now. Quite often I even do it twice a week and it is taking up more time than I have right now.

Any and all helps is appreciated, thank you!
