Tetra Whisper Vs. RENA air pumps

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a Whisper 20 hooked up to a 4" airstone just to give my 125g a lil' extra aeration. It pushes alot of air and is pretty quiet (not quite silent, but much quieter than an old air pump I had (penn-plax silent-air I think).

No experience with Renas...

I have the blue whispers that look like some sort of alien robot, they have legs etc. and they are pretty much silent when they arent placed beside something. never owned a rena, but thats because i like the whispers so much.

My Rena started out pretty noisy for a couple months but has now quieted down. Only reason I bought it was because it was on sale and came with a free air stone. .

Both have been good to me. I have this model noted above and others the dual outlet model and the single outlet of both rena and whispers
