My experience is that they are extremely slow growers, althought I have kept them as singles with several other grow outs. The two I have now (one in a 55G and one in a 180G) have grown about an inch in 6 months.

Mine is now at 2-3 inches in size..and housed alone...very timid and shy which is weird considering what other people are saying in their experience....ill try to house the bigger ones with the festae which are at least 3 inches in size...i am more scared of losing the cubans to the festae than the other way around...
