  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As mine gets older, he keeps his spots, but has formed lines as well.

Really cool fish, but ask to see pics before you spend that money.

Norbert has a gorgeous Pustulatus. Been looking for years.....

Many a people have been (being polite) mislead as to whether its a Pustulatus or a young Fahaka given that they are similar at small sizes.. There is also talk that the two species will cross in the wild making it even more difficult to differentiate.
Hopefully you are getting a true Pustulatus. GL

Also the one in the pic (post 13) looks more like a juvie Fahaka or cross.....Hopefully I am wrong.

If your getting one that looks like the one in post 13, then no offense, but i would NOT drop 1K on that fish...

Looks too much like a fahaka or a cross, and if its only young as in 2-3" even more reason to pass, since mine at 1.5" looked like that and from the start was labeled as a fahaka...

Definitely not a Pustulatus & no way worth $1000. Rarely are they...

If this puffer is 8-9 inches it will definitely look like a pustulatus. No way would I pay a grand without a pic of the exact puffer with the date written on a piece of paper in the photograh also.

Just a fahaka with a few red spots. Don't be fooled... Looks nothing like the true Pust, pictured on the 1st page.

I agree...not a true Pust, but possibly a cross. I would love to own even a hybrid or a fahaka with spots though....just not for 1000 bucks lol
