Wow thank you all for the great responses. I was not expecting to get this many suggestions, so I really appreciate it!

I have done a bit of investigating based on all of your responses, and I have come up with one conclusion. Although all had fantastic ideas, there is only one that suits what I am looking for: The rummynose.

Readily available, tight schooling, and beautiful.

Good choice, but they can be sensitive to water quality. I seem to remember hearing that your water quality can be determined by how red their noses are - the redder the better obviously. :)
