i agree. Nigerian lapradei. P. bichir bichir doesn't look like that.

looks like its a little wider than the one on the right. if they're exactly same size, i'm guessing individual variation.

btw, that lap on the right is AMAZING!

back to the other lap, do you have a full body shot? just curious what its patterns like.

heres one of my lapradei that may have the similar box-like head. sorry the only head on view i have is this crappy shot.

indeed exactly like the one in the pic. no doubt here its a lap then, but its a nice bichir also.. although i have been trying hard to import bichirs to singapore, no luck so far..even tried emailing rehobothaquatics, but to no reply... anyways, that lap on the right comes in a pair, male is 19 inches already, and female at 18 inches.

so how big is the lap with the box like head? must be pretty big too. and do you know how old are the 19" and 18"? amazing!! any pics?

edit: i just noticed you already said the one with the box like head is 12". sorry my mistake. now i see which one you were talking about thats 19", its the one where i can see the tail in the pic. i guess in my previous post i meant to say the middle one is amazing, just love its patterns and color. But the 19" and 18" are impressive size too. would love to see some pics of all three.
