teugelsi....unique polypterid?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They look kind of like rope fish when small, but mine is 22'' long. They don't look like rope fish to me, they look like a larger longer upper jaw bichir. They get pretty thick at that size. They are good at finding food, but from my experience a delhezi is just as capable.

A 22" Teugelsi ! Pic please ! I've never seen one bigger then 7"

Darius, you bring up a good point about comparing a teugelsi to a calabaricus.

Looking at Tokyogasmask's close up shot of his teugelsi, I realize now how similar the head shape and proportion to the size of the eye is compared to ropefish.

yes, thats why i want see a really big one. My is still medium sized.

I don't have any recent pictures of my teugulsi, I haven't been home in a while due to work, but I like to check mfk still because I like to see setups and stay involved in the hobby. You can check my past threads if you guys want. I don't recognize any of your names other than cohazard. I am an old mfker, I've had this fish for 2 years or more now. Feed high quality foods, and keep up with your water changes. Your teugulsi will grow very fast to 18'', and then slow after that. Good luck
