Besides the pics of texacons,

Can anyone just give their opinions on the pros/cons of the carpintis and the true texas (cyano)

I've only owned cyano, so I don't have any experience w/ carpintis. A fully grown cyano is a very impressive fish. I had a female that was 10'' and was extremely aggressive. I really miss that fish and its been years...

Ps - anyone have any pics of their texas (carpintis or cyano) cichlids or flowerhorns? And specify which type of flowerhorn? I love seeing these fish, especially from members on this forum :P

carpintis dont tend to get quite as aggressive and dont get as large either, other than that its more about personal preference do you prefer the bright blues of the carpinte or the more silvery colors of the cyano, for a 55g however i would stick with either a carpinte or female cyano just because of the size factor
