Texas-Carpintis ID?

i picked up 4 of these on saturday,the LFS employees didn't know the location.i did a search,but still unsure of the variety.maybe just the common type? i like them already,very active.i have only keep texas/cyano before

I think Escondido...big giant pearls. Go google...btw Econdidos and Vontehillos. Its definitely not Chairel or Lahillas. You will see that Escondidos have the biggest pearls, MY Fav. However more members here on MFK tend to like Vontehillos more. You also have a good possibily of a female (black dorsal)

thanks,that helps.i was having a hard time telling the difference,your right the spots do seem bigger in comparision
 
H carpintis "Escondido" tends to have large wormy markings on the operculum. The fish in question do not have that. It's a Herichthys carpintis "Pet store" location.

Here's the common pet shop variety I got. I think they're mass bred in Florida.
