Texas cichlid and plecos in quarantine tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It’s definitely been a learning experience. This forum has kept me from wasting money. Mine didn’t die from the common bloat problems. Once my male hit about 2.5” he became belligerent. I had a 3” Male and 2.5” female pair up and spawn. He killed all of the fry and Mom out the blue. Now he’s going to live his life as a wet pet

I think I read that thread, so it goes. Great looking fish! Haitiensis and MFK are both amazing.

I used to have a texas in a 50 gallon along with a pleco and I would keep finding the pleco with shredded fins. I separated them immediately.

ditto, i had a 5'' royal pleco in with my texas. i would find him with torn fins and he would stay in the same spot behind the canister intake, never move. i separated them.
