Texas cichlid info

Carpintis are sometimes called pearscale cichlids too.



I disagree. I think Texas cichlids look a lot nicer, and their body is much deeper instead of elongated.


There is at least 2 different web sites I've seen where they labeled the Carpinte "Green Texas Cichlid"...One of them being

Dr. Foster and Smith.

That being said, they also say the Cyano is in a yellow form.
 
i have a carpinte escondido specifically and even though he is super aggro, he is the most beautiful fish i have ever seen just my opinon because its my fish probably lol
 
Be warned. They are very aggressive.
