texas cichlid or carptinis

Man that is a tough I.D. I'm leaning towards H. Cyanoguttatus but it looks almost like it has some H. Carpintis in there though. Here is my male H. Cyanoguttatus for reference. Notice the shape of the markings around the face, that is usually the way to determine between these species.

Love your male cyanoguttatus, how big is he. I've just got 6 juveniles to grow on, hope I get one like yours.
