Texas Cichlid or Not?

Second one is definitely a jewel cichlid.

The first could be Mayan.

Are Jewel Native to Southwest Florida I caught that in creek near my house..

Certainly not native to Florida. First couple pics are a little too blurry but my guess would be mayan as well.

Yeah, sorry they move around quite a bit.

It was bad already, I was catching Spotted T. in the creek/river now jewels?

Agree on the Jewel ID. They're African. The other fish is a little unusual. Could be Mayan. That's probably the best guess I could come up with, too, but the coloring looks a little different than what I'm used to with them.

They some times are lighter than that or darker

Grow up man,quit yelling at tweens via internet! Raetak,when I started the hobby I would catch fish out of lakes and ponds up here in the northwest and put em in my tanks too.Have fun any way you want to in the hobby and posts pics anytime you get a chance,we all enjoy seeing eachothers stock...

1st could be Myan 2nd Jewel.

The first is a hybrid. It might have mayan in it but its not pure. With all the cichlids that have been introduced to FL waters its not really a surprise.
