Texas holy rock

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
On your fish? Nothing directly I suppose.

It will raise Ph and that could be bad for your fish depending on what species they are and what Ph they're used to.

Never did like the stuff personally...

I have about 60 Lbs of it in my main tank and the PH sits at 7.0 Only time I don't like it is when it goes from, White to Brown, to Green. But the Pleco has been keeping that to a Minimum...

White washes out their colors like crazy. That's why I got rid of the crushed coral in my tank and switched it out for playsand. That, and it looks like garbage haha. Texas holey rock shouldn't raise the pH, only the alkalinity.

White Washed? I think not...
Well, one piece won't really do it, but a lot of white will.(At least as far as I've seen) And I don't mean physically washing out the fish's colors, but by contrast, they will appear washed out against a white background.

I see. Then again I've got the Natural stone bottom, and the Marine Blue Back...
