Ok, So far we've got a date, June 2nd and 3rd...that being Saturday and Sunday. BBQ at Tankyou's house on Saturday night? Then hit up the Zoo or Seaworld on Sunday?

Tankyou, if you would please:

Find out about ticket prices to the Zoo/Seaworld and post it up if you would.

Also what the nearest hotel is going to be to you as well since it seems like that's where it's all going to revolve.

Oh, and drop me a PM and I'll get with you on the phone and we can talk out how we're going to get everyone organized.
 
ehh sea world is going to be expensive as hell.
I get into the zoo half price so im kinda partial towards the zoo lol.

what about shopping for fish?
im willing to bet that alot of stores will be closed on sunday.
So i think it would be better to head out like friday night or early saturday morning.
 
That being why we planned to hit the LFS's on Saturday, Zoo on Sunday.

OK, we're about a month out and I'm recruiting a crew from West Texas to head out there with me. Looking like we're going to have a pretty good group. Haven't heard from you yet Tankyou. I'll drop you a PM here in a bit.

Ok guys sorry I neglected for so long. I am definitely down for the 2nd and 3rd of June as well. I would like to get an itenerary going for LFS's for us to tour. Does anyone have any special fish requests? I have a guy who may be able to accomodate for a decent price.
So, a lot of planing will need to be done. I will keep everyone posted on progress. I can compose an itenerary for local tours. San Antonio is a very "touristy" city so things to do are not far away.

The San Antonio Zoo is cheap and in addition to all the animals they have HUGE Asian arowana on display: $9 for adults and there are discounts available for children and stuff:

The Natural Bridge Caverns Wildlife Ranch is neat. You drive throught he park and feed animals and stuff. Kind of pricey though`like $15 oer adult and $7.50 for kids

Of course...you have the infamous Riverwalk that is free and sites around town as well. The Tower of Americas just re-opened and has been renovated. Very very cool to go up there you can see the entire city.

There is Sea World too.

Not sure if there are MFK shirts for this type of event but we need to ask a mod if they can be available, would be neat to have.

Of course...BBQ at my place we can vote for beef, chicken, pork or all of the above.

So far it looks like around 20 people at least:D
Now...lets see how much more participation we can get! And if there are more suggestions for those that know the town, let me know.

There are some places on Fort Sam Houston full of History. Geronimo the Indian was once helf captive at the Quadrangle on post. He would only he animals HE killed himself, so they would capture wildlife for him to hunt in the "prison". To this day, deer and other wildlife run freely here and you can walk right up to them and feed them and pet them as well as peacocks and chickens and stuff. People actually still actively work at this place lol
