Texas or not?

After reading all your responses, I think it is a Texas (Herichthys Carpintus) X Convict. Mine have similar spots and the lower half of the female becomes black when she gets angry. The fins have the same colours (see pictures below).

Tex x Con. I've bred some myself. :) by accident of course.

You can't just take the dorsal fin from the texas and put it on the body of the convict, or take the pearls of the texas and slap them on the body of a convict; it just doesn't work like that. You need to look at the whole fish. Look at the body shape, and the colors, and the size. I have seen numerous examples of Tex/Con hybrids, and none of them really look the same so picking out one characteristic is not enough.

Could be adult chariel carpintis fed on grandsumo red.
I would say that the hybrid on first page is a convict x red texas or a carpintis x convict.
