If you're going with two oscars and 3-4 large cats, I would probably call it good just for the sake of filtration.
well i haven't decided yet i think i gonna make 2 diy filters number one is gonna be a 16x11x12 water storer ill pump the water in to the filter and let it be pulled out by gravity it'll have a 3200lph pump number 2 it'll be a 5 gal bucket ill make a spray bar and have the water pumped in the top and ill put some foam then a polishing pad and fill it with pot scrubbies and have a bit of egg crate holding them off the bottom and have the water drain out the bottom i'll use a 2200 lph or a 3200 lph pump which do you think i should use
why not just do one big wet/dry?
If doing to O route, you could put a JD or GT in that tank. That is if you don't have 4 cats. A couple of cats and Os + one med. cichlid is a lot of bio-mass/load.
