I know mfk has a lot of Texas but i just want to see the carpintis. so lets see them. Tell sex and size and a little about them.

here you go. Carpintis "Escondido". This guy is from Rapps July 07, he was just an inch then. Now he's about 7". Very aggressive, about a 7/10.

This variant has alot of wormie markings on its face, but I have seen some Escondidos without them. There are also rio tamiun, and I think one other region of Carpintis. The other variants seem to have fewer and large spots, or show more green rather than white, which is not too obvious, but other than that there seems to be very little difference.
I would love to see some good photos of the other variants or Carpintis of other regions. Maybe point out the differences.

It was a male? There is a lot of black in the dorsal.

It is definitely very cool. Why did you sell it?

Here's a Herichthys Carpintis "sp. Rio Tamuin" from Jeff Rapps.

I traded it along with a couple other cichlids to make room for the Dovii.
