Texas rescue

thanks! I'm still trying to get a good pic of him; here he is today . . . you can get an idea of the red that is showing up in his fins . . .

I'd say he's grown about 50% bigger than when I first got him, and he's showing some nice pearling . . . doesn't come thru in the pic, but he's got tourquoise blue pearls on the body/fins, and then the fins have a really subtle red color, which I did not expect

also, I know I titled this post "Texas Rescue", but it's pretty clear (to me) that this is a Carpintis cichlid . . .

That's a heck of a grow rate - good job!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

dude, I have never had a cichlid grow as fast as this guy! he eats anything, everything and always wants more . . . :headbang2
