Texas temperament?

like everybody said, it depends on the fish. my last big one i had used to let me pet him, this one now thinks my hand is a treat. i've had the ones that punk people out, and puss out when the opposer has had enough, and my guy name doesn't back down to anything. i've raised mean ones, and young ones, and it always turns out differently. tankmates play a great part in this too. the more aggressive the tankmates, the more the texas will be. they are always very owner responsive, and usually demand respect in all my experiences.

I had a juvy green texas that would try to beat up everything no matter how big they were. I agree completely with the other comments about them starting fights whether they can finish them or not. Mine was 3 inches and used to chase around a 8 inch jack and a 7 inch green terror. It would try to fight anything. If it couldn't win it would go to the next fish and try the same thing. Once it found a fish it could beat up it would not leave them alone until I seperated them it it killed it. I eventually took it back because it just couldn't get along with anything.

Great looking fish though.
