Thanx fishfreak... Your the shhhh. Not much for Texas traits in this fish aside from body shape huh? I am hoping to get the Texas speckles. All in all that is still a cool fish. Any idea on the size of it? Looks small still.

i'd say it actually has more tex traits with a sal body shape.. great looking fish though, gl and keep us posted. i might just have to try this but right now i'm trying tex x festae which i'm going to call textae

i had a texas male with salvini female spawn, but they ate the eggs. they were very young. i am growing out the male exas more before trying again because salvini females can get nasty PMS. really though, they were about the same size and she kicked his butt. i think you should give the texas male a 2" advantage. what i would want, in a perfect world, would be the texas body and pearls with the salvini color and flowerline. salvini colors aren't affected by black backround or gravel so that would be perfect.
