So today I am going to vent and call some people out some bad sellers in Thailand and their little games which I have noticed several of them playing recently which anyone buying should be aware of and watch for! IT'S CALLED A BAIT & SWITCH

What is the new game you ask? Well it goes a little something like this:

You buy a fish which has been listed for sale on aquabid-(usually done on very high quality items listed for shockingly good prices) this is done for a reason-too get you to buy (the hook and line) here comes the sinker- Once you buy and pay for the item-the norm is you wait for one to three weeks for next shipment. However several of the so called (good sellers on this site) like oh yeah going to call him out (Chonburiman) who is #1 offender done this to 3 people I know in the last 2 months including yours truly. Several of these guys but especially Chon here, will wait until literally hours prior to the ship time (many times this is like 4 or 5 in the morning our time) to advise-Oh wow your fish is now sick. Then they will offer you a lesser quality replacement fish. SOUND LIKE YOUR CLASSIC BAIT & SWITCH TACTIC??? OH yeah it does!
Many times (including all of the times I have seen Chonyboy do this) freaking guy offers up a sick and emaciated fish as the replacement! Ah no buddy, no one wants your freaking Hex'd up replacement fish.
Now Chonyboy here does sell some very nice fish-probably some of the best Kamfa offered (red dragon are dog bad) but hey can't have it all. However they guy moves so many, he has horrible customer service (cause he does not care) and has now gotten greedy playing these little games. I would not say it was done purposely if I had not witnessed it several times like a text book in the last couple months. Nor if he gave a crap about making it right to any of these people.

I have had this happen in the past but normally the seller will replace with something like quality and they do not make this a habitual pattern. This punk would not respond to the request to return funds after he was told no one wants your lesser quality sick fish homie (nicely of course), so paypal claim opened, negative feedback, and a big buyer inconvenience. Not to mention I will be happy to talk bad on this guy any chance I get.

When you make a mistake is one thing, when you have unforeseen things happen to an item is one thing, but when you make a habit of a bait and switch tactic riding on what was a good reputation which people trust, that just makes you a scum bag...
 
Not as of yet and I doubt you will, because most likely they are reselling to a higher local offer or did not have to begin with-just fishing with the bait.

sucks because he has nice fish this is for sure but the guy is not a good person to deal with. I have bought so many fish from Thailand it's not funny and their is always a risk. It's low and it's one you have to accept (an accepted gamble) but this type of crap is just bs, it's very deceptive and when it comes from guys who are supposed to be trusted venders, and you see them doing very often and repeatedly you know their is something wrong. The valuse price to this guy (while being decent money in his country) is nothing to him he sell enough fish-if he was concerned about his business, rep or customers he would have made it right however that's not the case. It's fine too because although it will be a pain in my rear to get the funds back it will eventually happen. The real issue is now I know this guy and a couple of his buddies can't be trusted.
 
First of all. I don't doubt your story. I've had 2 dealings with Chon this year and one went awry and one went smooth.
1. I purchased a fish and when I went to my transshipper to pick up it wasn't there. Come to find out Chon said he took it to the delivery point so it must have been stolen sometimes between delivery point to shipment. I said ok. Give me my money back. He did.
2. Ordered a fish. Female kamfa pictured below, paid, waited, delivered on time.

Definitely not doubting your story because I've heard some horror stories about various sellers. But just giving another point of view where things worked out and didn't work out but it was handled correctly. But to help your case, I don't know what other screen names you use but on some of the flowerhorn forums I'm pretty well known and represented so it would be a BAD idea to cross me.

I use the same screen name everywhere and I am also very well known in the fish and FH community for a long time now hell I help build up FHRus back in the day. You know if he would have been cool about it there would be no issue because I know full well stuff happens, but he did not, and he made a pattern for himself which I queued in on.

His notice their was an issue came to me at 5:09 am Saturday the 14th, his shipment was set for Sun the 15th (not much time to make a choice considering we are almost a day apart time wise) here is pic of fish I ordered-as you can see it's female MP very nice. Then the emaciated one with hex he offered as replacement (which is alright quality) but not to standard of what I bought and paid for, plus who wants a sick fish and to pay hundreds of dollars for a sick fish thanks but no thanks. I politely turned it down and asked for a refund to which I have been stonewalled on request...

I see what happend here, the first female turned out to be fertile so he offered a different one.

I'm sure he knew whether or not it was fertile before he put it up for sale....But that's right, I woulda turned it down also lol. Unfortunately that's the way it happened lol, I know how much it sucks when you have something PAID and you get news you're not getting it. Even though you never had it in the first place you feel like you've lost it. I don't know if I have a pic of the Kamfa I bought from him the first time but I was sad when I didn't get it. Then mad. Sorry.
 
Chon used to be really good but I've noticed he's been receiving A LOT of negative feedback lately.. Sucks, this guy has some pretty nice stock. Was debating if I should order from him but he's officially on my "Hell No" list lol.
 
I bought a " mother 3 times female KK" ,

lol When I received it it was the same fish but it was a male.. I told him that he advertised as "mother 3 times" and it's a male. I had no want for a male. Gave it to my friend.

He wanted to ignore me till I put him on blast on FHcraze. He then gave me another fish I picked on aquabid about the same value.

He knew all along the fish never laid eggs and no "mother 3 times". He thought I was not gonna know the sex till 1-2 years later when the deal is all old stuff

So he did busted that "mother 3 times" BS on me. But I'd buy from him if he had what I wanted. Just because he compensated me to try and fix our problem
