No they mean Thai Green Texas, I have a male right now and fry from him and a non faded red texas with gold pearls. I got mine for a steal of a deal because he killed several fish off in the guys tank i got him from. He is only about 4.5 to 5 inches right now i would guess and cost the guy who had him about the same as a like sized red texas from Thailand. If i understand it right the Thai green is likely a hybrid just like the red texas but I do not know what with. I can tell you that when he went from breeding colors to brooding colors with the fry he turned solid black even on his face and head. He is changing back into his breeding colors as is the female so it will be time to take the fry away. Fry just over three weeks and from 1/3 to 3/5 an inch in size. As soon as he colors up again fully I will post a pic of him.

Thai GT only mean they are not red texas.

Do U not have enough GT/Carpintis in the usa?

If it's not RT
and looks no better than a pure GT,
then what is the point?

The pearls on a thai gt are amazing. They are very clearly defined and sometimes cover up to the mouth. Some males have a good sized hump too. It's no flowerhorn sized one, which is a good thing, but its a good size. Thai GTs are nothing like regular carpintis.

They pop on Aquabid from time to time. Try emailing one of the Thai breeders.
