thanks...fix went well but only because i had the top trim off already...put a ton of silicone in corner when i put in background ..aluminum extrusion runs up under trim top and bottom and is silicone on
BTW installing a aquaterra background without cutting it is NOT a simple thing...and cutting it was a pain..they have weak spots and are delicate ...
oh and i will not be aiding any plecos...i watched in horror as my big male eye-bitter (4in) went for a brine and took a junk off the face (3/16th circle lol)...problem with that is yellow EPS foam shows ...eventually algae will cover it
so on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being setting up an aquarium 10 being building 5000g plywood tank) i give it a 7..Yes its that hard...but unless it falls apart i think its worth it..i have done herp backgrounds with slate and cement...was much ezier...i will never remove top rim again...if tank leaks im breaking it to save background...wow long post sorry to much coffee
BTW anyone southern tier NY northern tier PA want free eye bitters? 7 species of comp/calvis that im aware of and i get the ONLY one i didnt want...what part of lake tang didnt they understand...long story
