Thank you

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I gotta chime in here too. When I first came onto this site I had 2 Oscars and a JD in a 55g, I was the definition of noob. I had no idea what I was doing, I just knew the fish were cool and ate a ton.

Since then I have totally revamped my 55g (living in apartments, 55 is hard enough to move around for now!). I never would have known the difference if I hadn't stumbled across this site. I still sometimes feel like I am asking dumb questions, but I never feel like people look down on me or criticize me for not knowing something.

Now I have a few peacock cichilids a jewel (and 2 labs growing out till my g/f sets up her tank) and I am just loving it. I am in the process of redecorating the tank to make it more natural for the fish. They are growing quickly and looking beautiful.

I enjoy just browsing the site, you never know what thread you are going to stumble across and I have found so many incredible projects that inspire me to hopefully be able to have such a beautiful tank/ponds/fish room haha my interest grows everyday!

So thanks to everyone on here...

I just wanted to thank everyone on this site. When I joined last year, I had been keeping fish, most of my life, but didn't know as much as I should. In the time I have been here, I have learned ALOT. I can have an educated conversation about fish, using common and scientific names. So thank you all for answering my questions, no matter how stupid they seemed, and for all the informative posts.

All I can say is ditto minus the scientific names only because I dont know how to pronounce most of them...:screwy:

It is great to see a site with many different views instead of a site the brain washes you to only one point of view, like the site I visited before I found MFK.

So thanks again all for making MFK Monster!!!

yeah
thankful to the site the
some of the great members and the mods
have learnt a lot and the biggest thing i learnt here is to do research about anything that i plan to keep or have bought impulsively

I went to a LFS last weekend, and asked the owner what he got in that was interesting? He spewed out numerous scientific names, and I knew what they were, their aggression level, and their max size. I felt smart.

HUGGGZ FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!

this is a really great site with tons and tone of info

my turn for sure, kinda along the lines of jayk 1320, ive always kept the ussual, O's and cons, JD's and i didnt really know about anything else. now, ive got a couple dif crenicichla, mannies, carpy's RD's butti's and the list goes on and on. if it wasnt for this site and the good people on here, id still be stuck in oscar land, not theres anything wrong with that, but there is so much more out there, thanks so much for everthing, and everyone on here. MFK for life
