Most young folk come on here armed with some dodgy internet knowledge and some nonsense they were told in an LFS and like to think they know it all. Its just the way it is, no one likes to be told they are wrong and it can get heated at times.
Personally you earned my respect when you spent all that time resealing that tank only for it to leak after all your hard work. It was sad to see but your efforts and attitude once it leaked made me think you are certainly dedicated to the hobby and possibly more mature than the first impressions I had of you.

Thank you, I appreciate what you said. I am dedicated to this hobby. So what the tank didn’t work out, I did my best it turned out really good for it being my first time and going in blind. And yes I agree that most younger audience that are here think they know everything there is because they did a bit of googling and heard it at a LFS, that’s exactly how I was but later learned I was wrong about it all. It doesn’t matter how much you research a topic as long as you do nothing to actually see it yourself and try to help in the topic that you then really learn the proper knowledge needed. When I first joined mfk it was complicated (extremely) I had a super overstocked tank and going off of what I was told instead of what I knew, I rejected advice from others for so long but eventually got it through my mind that I really do need to fix this and fast. Then things started getting a bit better. I got a blue whale catfish but it soon passed because I didn’t know the proper care for it and then moved my flowerhorn from a plastic tote to a 40 gallon tank until I got the 55g from Fb marketplace which ended up leaking so I attempted to reseal but it sadly failed. It leaked so I asked my mom to stop and get a bit more silicone so I could redo the inside silicone work but was surprised by a brand new 55g which I then moved my flowerhorn to which he has been living in ever since. I’ve definitely came a long way and kept going when many others would have gave up and yes I wanted to give up so many times but couldn’t, there was just something pushing me forward and I’m so happy that I did continue my hard work.
