The “blue mojarra” Herichthys sp. "Pantepec"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you sir.

thank you very much.

The blue hue is what gets me <3, especially near the top fin. When the light hits him/her right you can see the reds in the fins as well. By far my favorite fish I think I've owned. If I'm lucky and this does end up to be a male, I think my project will produce something amazing.
Looks male to me. Got yourself a fertile female KKP do ya? Can’t say I approve but it’s your fish. With the lineage you posted I feel he should be bred true but I can’t deny some of the Red Texas are good looking fish.

I have a female Red Mammon on the way. I was originally going to just breed this male, to one of the other siblings, but the Alpha that he is, killed everyone. And unfortunately, these are no longer available, one time collection... I thought maybe a solo specimen tank, and throwing in some slate/driftwood. but the Idea of creating a red texas grabs my interest.

Ahh, well that’s unfortunate. I would keep an eye out for more though. GL with the project anyway.
I kinda had the same thing with my Andinocara “Choco” from Rapps. He’s such a looker that I’ll give him his own 40b for a while in hopes I come across more of them.

got confirmation on my female Red Mammons arrival tomorrow. Did a 20% water change today ( every Monday ), so hopefully everything goes well.

Answers my question of where do you get these, where do they come from... Beauty. :-)

So much for my "red mammon". Apparently either the sender who I'll leave nameless for the moment messed up, or ups messed up. Because my tracking number shows that it will arrive thursday 11/02/2017. So much for overnight shipping and getting my fish today.

What are the odds of a fish that's 5" surviving shipping? he was prepped and dropped off at ups on 10/30/17, won't arrive till the 2nd of November. Idk how things like this happen, honestly.... "rant rant rant"
