The 125G Community Tank & 100G Predator Tank (Load Warning....Seriously Though)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the fish look great

I don't know enough about discus to say if they are stunted or not - but I think they have some really nice colors and markings and are very pretty fish :)

Some of them have football shaped bodies.

I don't see any discus with football shaped bodies... but I do see some juvie green severums.

Nice tank. I don't know about anything being stunted but there are some healthy and nice looking oscars in there.

You have some wonderful fish there!

Thank you :)
No offense but your Discus are suffering from your "once a week maintenance". Some of them are stunted.. Discus should really be getting water changes everyday..
They get WC every other day...

load warning? what load warning! 5 seconds for me :p
:D high speed internet FTW!
I want your discus...all of them! Beautiful fish!
Much thanks!!!! :D
Where do u get ur information? I know someone who keeps about 20 high end German discus and he only does wc once every other week and they are extremely healthy and good growers
I have seen the same thing...I definitely agree that it can be done.
Very pretty fish.
Thanks :D!

Quite obvious that some of them are stunted. Sorry, I'm not going to believe 20 Discus can go close to 2 weeks without water changes. Unless they get fed like once every 5 days or something.
They arent stunted and are putting on size quite readily..

How is it quite obvious?

Also, what are your plans for the pacu?
My friend has a 15k G pond in a temp controlled "shed" that they will be going into soon enough.Im holding them until he finishes it!
Some of them have football shaped bodies. Some of their eyes aren't proportional to their body.. and a lot of them are peppering though peppering could just be a sign of bad genetics.
Peppering is signs of stress (from a recent water change), not bad genetics or stunted growth. dont know where your getting your info but ya. also the pics were taken with a phone...lol

Thank you very much! They are my babies! :)

I don't see any discus with football shaped bodies... but I do see some juvie green severums.
I agree about the football shapes and the severums are from the guys at ZooMed, they had some and sold them to a LFS and I got my hands on a few!

What is the stock list for the community tank? obviously Discus but what is everything else in there?
Ill post that below :)
Nice tank. I don't know about anything being stunted but there are some healthy and nice looking oscars in there.

:) thank you! had them since they were little babies. they grow so fast!

Thanks for all the responses yall, I greatly appreciate it!!! If you have any suggestions let me know as Im always up to new ideas! Im also setting up a new 40g planted in my new apartment that will house my breeding pair!!!! Pics very very soon!

As far as the stunted thing goes, they simply aren't. Ive personally watched two of them grow from fry because I hatched them from my breeding pair. The pictures were taken with a phone so they arent the highest quality and maybe that explains some "football shape" but I personally dont see it especially in person. They usually no signs of peppering! So anyway!
