ya im at 30% water changesdaily and ive been still feeding him twice daily freeze dried krill and tilapia fillet, but the problem is that he wouldn't eat last night so when i get back from school ill try and feed him again. i put a hide in for him so that may get him to eat hopefully
Mine is in a 20 long with my baby silver aro. I want them to both put on ATLEAST 3-4" before I move them again, as the Pbass and Pacu take all their food before they can get to it. I may just keep them seperated. Well, keep the RTC seperated, I don't need him eating my other fish. I have been lazy lately and havn't had the ambition to cut up some more tilapia for him. I will do that tomorrow probably. I would like to see him at 12" by May. Maybe before that.
if your worried about food then i suggest buy freeze dried blood worms for the silver and freeze dried krill fro the RTC that is what im doing right now and it works great. just feed the rtc with feeding tongs that you would us for snakes thats what i do and it works fine. i have pretty much the same setup as you right now except i have the rtc the silver aro and 2 id sharks and a red oscar. oh and hikari makes the best freeze dired in my opinion.
Start stuffing your tilapia and shrimp with massivore that will get them trained for massivore and they become beasts
and hes eating freeze dried krill only. i don't know why hes not taking tilapia or beefheart but what ever as long as he eats.I can enter mine right? He is only 1.5'. lol jk I definitely want to see how fast all of yalls grow. Mine grew from 2" to 18" in almost 6 months, but he started off in a 300 gallon with massivore and shrimp daily.
Update: Taz is now from the 300g to a 60b my friend wasn't using. I wanted to get him by himself so I could monitor his growth better. He is in with the 7in TSN named Tigg
He is well over 4in now. I noticed his growth exploded when I started stuffing his tilapia with NLS 3mm large fish food. (I just prefer it over Hikari). He is starting to get wide too. I think the NLS has brought out his color more as well.
