thanx, its always importent to plan ahead because if you don't then you are stuck with a 3' RTC sitting in a 100 galllon and has really bad gill curl that no one even cares about (saw this in a fish store when i went up to minnesota to do some fishing the owner said it was "his pride and joy" but that red tail didn't think the same of his owner.)

Thankfully there are a lot of affordable options out there as diskboy mentioned such as the intex pools. Although if he really puts it in his room I will want to see pics of that circus ;)

Ya I'll be putting mine down in my basement sence there really is no room for a 10' wide pool In my room lol. I'll start with insalation on the floor so that the floor temp dosn't affect the water temp that and prevent punctures. Then I'll set the pool up. Once that is done spread out the pond liner inside the pool. Once I do that I'll go with one of my old koi pond filters and another homemade filter for filtration. I'm not gonna bother with decor because of the fact that the fish need alot of room to move around. and that's pretty much all I have planned out so far:D

Pretty much what I'm doing, except just putting normal padding under the pool. As far as filter, probably going to do the tub filter I have seen ... Need to figure out that detail still. No decor for me either most likely.

I really like that Intex 32'x16'x52''. That would make an ultimate pond for these guys. My folks are buyin some land in Tennesse Ill have to ask if i can build a seperate fish house. For now mine will be outside in a 15'x10'x4' pond ill start digin the first week of July. Thats gonna suck diggin that much in south florida haha.

I live in the white north. So its gotta stay inside. But a 8' is still good size for a rtc. Might be actually picking up a 12"+ rtc in the next week.
