  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's a very nice set-up Nomad. That ST is beautiful, thanks to you I am addictied to Dat's now. :nilly: And I can't seem to find any at 7-10 inches that people are willing to ship...Sucks
I'll assume you used water from another aquarium for faster cycling?

Very well done! Congrats and all the best!

Nice footprint and stock indeed. An a HUGE + when the wife is on board.

Very impressive, I like it a lot.

Nice tank....and kudos for having a wife willing to help

hey. great setup and great stock!!!

ordered a tenecor 315 and came in with a chip. was looking into buying from midwest.

can i ask what you paid? im in vancouver bc canada and theyd have to ship the tank to me up here. but just wondering what is the price for the tank with overflows? how long did it take them from payment to delivery?

tenecor took MONTHS. never dealing with them again.

heres my 315 build thread until i got the tank that came in with a chip lol. what a waste of money. they blamed it ok shipping! hahahaha. no wonder they are going downhill.

i tried sending you this msg via pm but your mailbox is full!

Hey man ...Not nearly as nice as your new 820. That thing is amazing. Can't wait to see it fully stocked.
Big dats are never easy to find (ship) unless you're in Cali. I saw you sold the one you got from me. Once the big boy is ready get it back lol.
Transferring water doesn't do much, is the media that matters. Giving the relatively small size of my tank just hooking up the FX5 (full of media) from my old setup was enough. In your case you'll have to fully cycle that beast.

Yes, the only reason I sold him was, I wanted to start all over again. Had I known it was going to take so long to get my new tank, I would have kept him, becase all the new fish I bought, have grown large enough to keep him with. This sucks becasue you are right no one ships them large.
Is this becasue they die during shipping due to stress or is it there large size is expensive? So shipping from west coast should be done AP to AP not overnight? Thought?

When I suggested to buy the IT back (assuming you sold it locally) I was only half kidding ....if possible just offer considerably more (that money will go into shipping anyway if you order from someone else). Plus that was a stunning Indo.
Packaging a big dat so they don't tear the bag with the dorsal fin is not the easiest thing , being a fish with a tall body requires quite a bit of water too....you have no idea what a pain it was when I shipped that one to you lol. Not many people do it. When we moved from NJ to CO I got mines shipped by George from Shark Aquarium (I have a really hard time believing that someone is a better shipper, since he shipped big aimaras to Japan successfully). He does AP to AP so keep an eye on his stock list (he's a vendor here).
I would only buy big fish shipped overnight AP to AP and by someone who knows what they're doing .

Oh no, I remember how much a PIA it was to ship him, remembering you had to go back to the AP to get him due to the flight not going out, trust me i remember. not to mention it was snowing there...
Trust me had i known it would have been half this hard to get other at least 8in, i would have kept him. I do have three small indo's that I bought at 2-3in, but they still look to be 3in after 6 months or so, very slow growing fish, and once I get the big tank set up, I am getting rid of the two holding tanks. So either they go in the big tank in hopes they don't get eating by anyting, or I find some around 7-8 inches and sell the ones I have...
